ICT all around us
It is important that children realise that ICT means
more than just computers, and the practitioner needs to make this explicit by
pointing out examples of ICT all around them.
Where possible, children should be given the
opportunity to interact with the technology they see around them , for example
being shown how to use the remote control, recording an answerphone message, programming
the microwave or using the photocopier.
